Invocation at the Time of Distress – from Saheeh Al-Bukhaari
1741. Narrated Ibn ‘Abbaas (radhi Allaahu anhu): Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to invoke at the time of distress, saying
“Laa ilaaha illal laahu al-‘Azeem, al-Haleem, Laa ilaaha illallahu Rabbul-‘arshil-Azeem, Laa ilaaha illallaahu Rabbus-samaawati wa Rabbul-ardi, wa Rabbul-‘arshil-Kareem“(*)
(*) [H.1741] None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, the Majestic, the Most Forebearing. None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, the Lord of the Tremendous Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, the Lord of the earth and the Lord of the Honourable Throne.
