Visiting the places of Hajj outside of it’s time – Shaykh Rabee’ al-Madkhalee

Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillah wa salatu wa salaamu ‘ala rasulullaah
Amma-ba’d

Question: Is it allowed for me to go out to the places of Hajj, like Mina, Muzadalifah and 'Arafah, for the purpose of becoming familiar with them before Hajj season (begins)??

Shaykh Rabee': If it is for the purpose of becoming familiar (with them); then no problem. However many of the people visit these areas in order to seek blessings, they visit Mount Thawr, the cave of Hiraa and other than them to seek blessings and this from bid'ah (innovation).
