A statement from Ibn Taymiyyah (May Allah have Mercy upon him)
The scholar knows the ignorant one, for verily he was once ignorant, and the ignorant one does not know the scholar, for verily he has never been a scholar.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people..”
