Imām Shāfi’ī said: “Whosoever listens to music...."

Imām Shāfi’ī said: “Whosoever listens to music, then he is an idiot whose testimony is to be rejected.”

[الأم للشافعي (٦\٢٠٩)]
The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people..”
