Referencing Narrations
By the Muhaddith, Shaykh, Allamaa’ Muhammad Nasir uddeen al-Albaani
Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya
Muhammad Nasir- Deen Al-Albaani (d.1420A.H) -Rahimullaah-said:
‘The scholars say: ‘from the blessings of knowledge is referencing every statement to the one who said it.’ Forgery and falsification is kept away through referencing works.
The Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- indicated to this in his saying: ‘The one who makes a statement with that which he was not given is like the one who wears a garment of falsehood.’
