Chapter Four: The Prayer for Entering and Exiting from the Home
It’s legislated for the Muslim that he prays two raka’at when entering his home and when exiting from his home.
Abu Huriarah reported that the prophet (may the peace and blessing of Allaah be upon him said:
“When you enter your home, therefore pray two raka’at to prevent you from entering in evil and when you exit your home; pray two raka’at to prevent you from exiting in evil.”

(1) hadeeth Hasan: recorded by al-Bazaar (Kashf al-Astaar) (vol. 2 page 385) ibn Hajr also graded the hadeeth Hasan as mentioned al-Manaawee in (Fadh al-Qadeer) (vol. 1page 334) and shaykh al-Albaanee graded it’s isnaad دوج (jawwad i.e.good) in as-Silsilah As-Saheehah hadeeth number (1,323)
