Regarding The Pilgrim Who Stoned The Jimaar Before Zawaal & Then Departed

Postby Shehzad Sattar » Mon Jan 02, 2017 12:58 am

Question: I (Salih[1], the son of Imam Ahmad[2] bin Hanbal) asked my father, at what time should one stone the Jimaar[3] (during the days of Tashreeq)[4]?

Response: He [Imam Ahmad] responded: After Zawaal[5]

Question: I [Salih], then asked my father what if the pilgrim stoned the three sites before Zawaal.

Response: He responded: He must return back (to stone the three sites) once again.

Question: I then asked: what if he has departed (after stoning the three sites before Zawaal)?

Response: Whoever omitted stoning the Jimaar (after Zawaal during the days of Tashreeq) must sacrifice an animal (and distribute it amongst the needy of Makkah).[6]
